It is a joy and privilege to work with Dead of Winter (formerly Camerata Nova) every season. This ensemble was founded by my friend and boy choir colleague Andrew Balfour, one of Canada’s leading composers. Andrew is a fantastic composer whose works are well known across the world. When I’m with them, it is usually to explore early music with a small group of select singers and instruments. This is done sometimes with musicians from the WSO, or from Montréal and even further abroad. A few years ago we were lucky to welcome Bruce Dickey, Guido Morini, and Elenor Frey to our stage.
